Who I am

I am Dr Maria Naymark, a private GP. I am the data controller for the personal information you share with me through this website and as my patient. I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZB538393.

For any question about your personal information, email hello@drnaymark.co.uk.

What information I collect

  • When you contact me: your name, email address, phone number and the message you send through the website form, by email or by WhatsApp.
  • When you book: the details you enter in my online booking system (Cliniko).
  • When you are my patient: your medical history, consultation notes, test results, letters and prescriptions. For children, I also hold the details of the parent or guardian who attends with them.
  • When you visit this website: cookies, as described below.

How I use it, and the legal basis

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange appointments, provide your medical care, take payment and keep accurate medical records.

Under UK data protection law, I rely on the following:

  • providing a service you have asked for (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR);
  • meeting legal and professional obligations, such as keeping medical records (Article 6(1)(c));
  • for health information, the provision of health care (Article 9(2)(h)).

Please do not send urgent or detailed medical information through the website form. For a medical emergency call 999. For urgent advice call NHS 111.

Where your information is kept

Your records are kept in Cliniko, my practice management and booking system. When I see you at a clinic, your records are also kept in that clinic's electronic patient record system: HCA Healthcare UK in Chiswick, Kensington International Clinic in South Kensington, or Wimpole Street Consulting Rooms in Marylebone.

Who I share it with

I share only what is needed, and only for your care or where the law requires it:

  • the clinic where you are seen;
  • laboratories and imaging services, when I arrange tests;
  • consultants and other clinicians, when I refer you;
  • your NHS GP, with your agreement;
  • your health insurer, if you ask me to and your policy covers the consultation;
  • regulators, courts or other authorities, where the law requires it.

I also use service providers to run the practice and this website: Cliniko for bookings and records, Tilda for this website and its contact form, and WhatsApp for messages you choose to send. They process information only as needed to provide their service. Some of them may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised by UK law. I never sell your information or use it for advertising.

How long I keep it

I keep medical records in line with the Records Management Code of Practice for Health and Social Care:

  • adults: 8 years after your last contact with me;
  • children: until their 25th birthday, or their 26th if they were 17 at the end of their care.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected, and in some cases to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, or to move it to another provider. Medical records must be kept for the periods above, so they cannot always be deleted on request. To make a request, email hello@drnaymark.co.uk. I will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, please tell me first. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
